Lamborghini Huracan Roadtrip Across Abruzzo Roads:
Today we talk about something special that rarely in life is possible to imagine: a roadtrip between the fascinating streets of the Gran Sasso National Park on the seat of a Lamborghini Huracan Performante. We accompanied the crew of the well-known Drive Experience youtube program on the making-of their Lamborghini Huracan Roadtrip video-review in search of some of the most breathtaking views of Campo Imperatore where to set free the 650cv of this bolide of Sant'Agata Bolognese's automotive brand.
We chose a fun driving tour starting from Fonte Cerreto (the starting point for the Gran Sasso ski resorts) heading to the Montecristo Pass and then to the Campo Imperatore plains. Our Lamborghini Huracan roadtrip path, first inside a thick forest of beech and oak trees, soon plunge into the high altitude grasslands scattered with grazing animals and offroad trails.
Once crossed in the Fossa di Paganica locality, with a great view of the L'Aquila valley, the long parabolic curves and the long straight lines gave us way to fully appreciate the power delivered by this four-wheeled beast, the noise of the V10 gets lost in the boundless spaces of the plains and only the eagles can keep up the race!
Mt. Prena and Mt. Camicia are really a perfect background for shooting and with a subject like this car it's really hard to take a bad picture! Taking into account the surrounding environment, the best scenes are towards the sunset and, at shooting campaign almost done, the oblique sun rays make the most out of the carbon fiber panels and the aerodynamic lines of the Huracan.
The high altitude ponds scattered in the area are getting glittered by the colors of the surrounding hills and the shadows stretch to paint reddish lines on the valleys and canals. Playing with the camera between panning and depth of field accompanied by the uproar of the Lamborghini cylinders gives an incredible satisfaction and joy.
For the sunset we chose to bring the troupe to Rocca Calascio to enjoy the sun diving behind the Abruzzo peaks, it was unfortunate to have carried the car over the old rough citadel streets.. after all it is better to see it run free on the asphalt! The sunset painted on clouds and rocks gave us perfect shots that tells it all about the historical heritage of these places.
While the sunrays touch for the last time the sharp and futuristic lines of the Huracan and with the light that is dimming quickly it's time to turn on the LED lights and say goodbye to the most beautiful set in Italy. It is not the first time that Drive Experience chooses these places for their articles and videos, as well as many car factories and movie crews have discovered, enjoyed and reinvented the landscape of our mountains over the years.
As a last farewell we descended from the Mt. Cristo to Assergi admiring the colourful tones that the foliage and the first snow dye over the slopes in this period, soon the first consistent snows will block these high mountain roads and the only way to get to Campo Imperatore will be hiking or by cable car .. let's say a huge thanks to the Drive Experience for choosing us and this wonderful set and we hope soon to see all the crew back at work between these National Park roads!
